🦖 Important! Rules & Manners

Zackie-saurus Zackie
Saurus
Hello! I am your guide, “Zackie-saurus.”
Welcome to Japan! Airsoft is a game of honor. To ensure everyone has a safe and fun time, please read the following rules (Regulations) carefully.
I will also explain some unique Japanese airsoft manners!
Regulation Board ▲ Please check the regulation board at the field too.

1. Equipment (Safety First!)

Protect yourself to prevent injury.

  • Face Mask: Strongly recommended. Protect your teeth and face.
  • Gloves: Getting hit on the finger hurts!
  • Shooting Glasses: Use at your own risk. Full seal goggles are safer.
🦖 Dino Memo For safety, we strongly recommend a Full Face Mask. It prevents tooth damage!

2. Power limits & BBs (Japanese Law)

Japan has strict laws regarding airsoft gun power. We also protect nature.

  • Velocity Check: Staff will measure your gun’s power before the game.
  • Power Limit: Must be under 0.989J (Strictly enforced by law).
  • BBs: BIO BBs ONLY. (Plastic BBs are strictly prohibited to protect the forest).
  • Weight: 0.2g or 0.25g BBs are standard.

3. Prohibited Acts (Don’ts)

  • Zombie Acts: Not calling “HIT” when you are shot. This is cheating.
  • Violence / Bad Language: Be polite to other players.
  • Blind Fire: Shooting without looking (sticking just the gun out). You must see your target.
  • Overkill: Shooting a player who is already “Dead” (Hit) multiple times.

4. Communication & Manners

Japanese players may not speak fluent English. Please follow these tips for smooth communication.

🤝 Friendly Fire (Shooting a teammate)

If you accidentally shoot a teammate:

  1. Immediately say “Sorry!” (Or “Gomen-nasai” in Japanese).
  2. The person shot counts as a HIT and must leave. The shooter stays.
  3. Important: When you return to the “Safety Area” (rest area) after the game, find that person and say “Sorry” again. This is good Japanese manners!

🧱 Ricochets (Bullets bouncing off walls)

If a bullet hits a wall or tree and then hits you, it is usually NOT a hit (Safe).

  • Important: Please shout “Board Hit!” (or just “Board!”) instead of “Ricochet”.
  • The word “Ricochet” is difficult for many Japanese players to understand. “Board Hit” is the magic word here!
  • Make an “X” gesture with your arms if needed.
  • Note: If you are unsure if it was a direct hit or a ricochet, please take the HIT. This is the gentleman’s rule.

🗣️ Language Barrier & Trouble

  • Simple Words: Use simple English words like “Enemy?”, “Go!”, “Hit!”, “Thank you.”
  • Gestures: Pointing and body language work best.
  • Rule Breakers: If you see someone cheating or being rude, DO NOT confront them directly. Please tell a Staff member (Marshall) immediately. We will handle it.
